This
project is designed to meet the needs of a large
extended family comprising 3 generations, as well
as entertainment and guest provisions for visiting
family members & friends. The total floor
area of the house is approximately 1,000
over 3 levels sited on a crest of a slope in a
country park setting with views to adjacent hillsides.
The highlight of the design is the main "breezeway"
space that physically separates the volumes of
the house at ground floor. The breezeway connects
the front landscaped garden to the rear, private
pool deck and informal lawn, through a stepped
passage & courtyard descending to address
the natural contours. Views to the breezeway courtyard
are integrated with the building interior by means
of void spaces at every level.

The
development as a whole is made up of three accommodation
components. A 3 storey vacation compound of 1,150
GFA for the clients' family members sits on the ridge
of a northfacing knoll within a scenic park. It will
be built in two phases. Four 2 storey detatched houses
of 250 each with garages sit below the compound adjacent
to the road. 24 semi-detatched 2 1/2 storey terrace
houses of 160 sit along the lower side of the road.

This
relatively large scale real estate development
is planned by the municipal government and is
situated on a 33,330 site adjacent to the Shek
Lau Town Government offices.
Eighteen medium rise towers at 7 storeys each
are proposed, and will sit above a street level
shopping arcade and carparking. The development
will include a landscaped area and clubhouse with
tennis courts and a swimming pool.
