The
development consists of 2 public buildings; a
two storey Cultural and Recreational Centre and
the Visitors' Pavilion, 2 private single storey
residential buildings, a guard house at the entrance,
and subsidiary service buildings. The buildings
provide a total GFA of 5,265 and the remainder
of the 43,500 site area is reserved for landscaping,
public carparking, and a 2,830 recreation area.
The site is located on a steeply sloping hillside
with scenic views out over Plover Cove. The buildings
are constructed in a domestic vernacular style
to minimise their intrusion within their landscaped
setting.
